This will have the latest maternal health statistics for our state as well as reports on how many of the pilot programs from the last legislative session have faired since 2019. During the summit, the panelists mentioned the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act of 2020 that was introduced in Congress earlier this year. The original cosponsors of the legislation were Congresswomen Alma Adams and Lauren Underwood and Senator and Vice-President Elect Kamala Harris. We encourage you to read up on and take action in support of this comprehensive set of legislation. We also urge you to reach out to your state elected officials to encourage their support of similar legislation at a state level.
