Mamas matter

The maternal mortality and morbidity crisis is multi-faceted and stems from a multitude of factors. The good news is that a majority of these deaths and near deaths are preventable - our mission is to eliminate preventable causes of death for pregnant women and moms by advocating for and supporting legislative efforts aimed squarely at this issue.

Who We Are

Starting in the Summer of 2018, Circle Up Moms (formerly Circle Up: United Methodist Women for Moms) has come together to support legislation in Texas that would combat the Maternal Mortality Crisis in our state. From hosting community events to raise awareness about the issue to partnering with legislators and mobilizing support for bills that improve the health of moms and babies, we’ve been busy this session!
