Today, UMW continues to support the health and family needs of women and children around the globe. Locally, our home congregation, FUMC Austin, continues to support the mission of improving maternal health here in Texas.

Healing Hands Community Doula Project

Healing Hands Community Doula Project is on a mission to eliminate the negative birth outcome disparities and the high rates of maternal and infant mortality in Black women and infants by offering an enhanced perinatal care program to support African American women from conception through the first year of their child’s life.

The Texas Women’s Healthcare Coalition is a coalition of organizations promoting access to preventive healthcare for all Texas women. We are proud members of this collaborative effort to help all women have access to care that will ensure safe and healthy pregnancies, births and lives.

Postpartum Support International promotes awareness, prevention and treatment of mental health issues related to childbearing in every country worldwide.
